Signalling & Tumour Microenvironment Group

“Our mission is to understand how cancer cells communicate with normal cells to develop novel therapies for cancer patients.”

Who we are

We are a research group at the University College London Cancer Institute.

Our work focuses on understanding the cellular plasticity of normal cells in the tumour microenvironment in the context of clonal evolution and treatment. With this knowledge we aim to improve cancer therapies by specifically targeting tumour-activated stroma cells.

Research Projects

Identifying protein kinase C-β-dependent mechanisms of TME-remodelling

Characterising the nexus between clonal evolution, stroma reprogramming and drug-responses

Dissecting spatially-defined functions of the tyrosine kinase ZAP-70

The success of our work relies on the participation of patients and their willingness to provide blood and tissue samples for our research.
